Creating a program

Creating a program

A long time ago I want to create my own program, even the simplest one, and I have studied a lot of material on this subject. I heard that you need to write code according to certain principles that will help to work with it in the future. No one accidentally knows these principles?

I remember making a very serious mistake when writing my first program. I used the same code in several places, and then I had to change it a bit and killed just a huge amount of time for a complete change.

The source code should not be enslaved, more precisely, if you need to make changes to one part of the code, then you should not change any other. Also, the code should be normally readable, the listing of the program should not be complicated and incomprehensible.

Each programmer must know the five basic principles that are united under the abbreviation SOLID. If you follow all these principles, you will be able to write just a great code.Of course, there may be nuances, when you can not follow some principles, but basically you need to try to write code for them.
