Now, however, the next topic comes to the fore - nutrition during breastfeeding. Many mothers, having studied many sources, have a complete idea of what can be eaten and what should not. But with respect to the quantity and quality of fluid, questions arise. For example, very often the question arises whether tea is nursing mom?

During pregnancy, future moms limited themselves to fluid intake. Starting to breastfeed, its amount should increase to one and a half liters per day. What to drink? Those women who love tea, can easily afford this drink. But you need to remember some rules:

  1. Strong black tea is not worth drinking often. He, like coffee, too excites the nervous system. If you are a fan of black tea, try to brew a light, weak drink.
  2. Herbal and fruit teas, in spite of the undoubted benefits for the woman herself, can cause in the baby allergies and upset stomachs that have not yet become strong.
  3. Now there are special teas for nursing women. They are useful, but you shouldn't get too carried away with them, it can lead to an excess of milk.
  4. The best option for nursing mothers is green tea. One of its properties include lactogenicity. In other words, it enhances the formation of milk. In addition, it is the most useful among all types of tea, because it contains a lot of antioxidants. It is invigorating, but in moderation, it protects and strengthens the heart muscle, contains many vitamins and other useful substances. White tea also works around the same, but it is less common. Very good for nursing mothers and for the baby - a cup of warm, weak green tea with milk!
