Tools and Materials
First, let's talk about what tools and materials we can use, what you can replace without losing the quality and beauty of the work done, and without which we just can't do . Since we are making a postcard, we will definitely need paper. But what kind of paper it will be depends on your imagination and possibilities. Ideally, you need to buy special paper for scrapbooking, besides, the one that is colored from different sides in different colors is better suited for the technique of figure cutting. However, you can take a simple watercolor paper or paper for the bed.Such paper has sufficient density to create a postcard, unlike the album sheet. The cardboard is on the contrary too dense. The thicker a sheet of paper, the harder it is to cut it and the knife blade becomes dull much faster. On the contrary, it is better to make a blank for a postcard on thin paper. You can draw by hand, or print on simple office paper the finished version from the Internet. The mock-up knife is the most convenient option for cutting, but you can use simple clerical or even nail scissors. Any kind of small and large sequins will do. In addition, you can take small beads that are used by masters of nail service (bouillon). As a fixing compound for sparkles, it is better to take PVA, since after drying it becomes transparent. Any type of glue brush will work, but it it should be thin enough to depict the intended pattern. Curly scissors are used as desired to decorate the edge of the postcard. Clips for paper can be replaced with paper clips or a stapler. It all depends on what is more convenient for you, or what is available. Wooden dostochka is needed in order to protect the workplace from scratches. Plastic board is not so convenient. You can replace it with a special mock mat or an old thick magazine.
