Vase of pine needles? Just unbelieveble!
Did you know that you can make absolutely amazing vases from pine needles? Here we did not know. And were pleasantly amazed to see in the vastness of the Internet here is such a wonderful master class from the author of the mug. If you often travel to nature, to the forest, you can collect needles and create an incredible decoration for the interior.
So, the word author.
1.Today we will make a vase of pine needles with you. I took the idea and the master class from our favorite Internet. Well, I really liked the work! And then the case turned up! Because of the heavy snow, several branches broke off from the pine tree, which grows near the building of our SYuT. It was a pity to throw away the branches with "smart" needles. So I decided to try to create something. What happened - you judge!
2.Frozen branches brought into the room and waited, when everything was thawed and the needles were freed from ice and snow, they dried out a bit. Then she “plucked” all the branches. The needles should be removed from the caps - the ends on the needles, with which they are attached to the branch. On the MK on the Internet are used old, fallen needles, which boil, and the ends are removed using a napkin. I had "living" and I just cut the ends with scissors. It is important to immediately lay the cut needles in one direction.
3.The needles are ready. Prepare the tools - scissors, a needle with a large eye, a knife; from material - a strong thread. Let's start!
4.Let's start with the bottom. A bundle of needles (5-10 pieces) is tightly wrapped with a thread of 5-8 cm (depending on how large you will make the product), we thread the end of the thread into the needle and begin to stitch the needle bundle, threading the needle from the inside of the beam (to yourself). For convenience, so that the bundle of needles is always of the same thickness, use the "measure". I made it from the used ballpoint pen, cut off the tube. Then just a few needles are inserted into the tube with sharp ends. The bundle must always be of the same thickness.
5.When you sew the desired number of rows, then smoothly go to the walls. The subsequent rows are slightly flushed with a shift. The protruding ends of the needles will then be cut with scissors. It is important when sewing a series, thread the thread between the thread of the previous row, "hook" on the row. If not, the thread slips over the smooth surface of the needle beam.
6.Gradually, row by row, we “nash” the walls of our future vase. It is important to learn how to perform the stitch correctly! I'm still not very successful, although I try. Everywhere in the work you need a skill!
7.We reach the upper edge and we stop adding needles to measure. Gradually the beam decreases, and we fix the edge of the product with a thread. It is necessary to flash several times around the edge.
8.This is how I got a little vase. She is the first and therefore a lot of “flaws”. There is still a lot to learn from the masters. To work with such material is very pleasant - the smell, as in the phyto-bar! All the work is not done in one day, the needles dry out and therefore before each work they are steamed in hot water and dried.
9.Enjoy your evening and good luck with your work! Of course, you won't put fresh flowers in this vase, but you can keep something in such a flower. As they say, if you pour in the rump, then nothing will turn up in it. Moths and bugs can't stand the smell of tar. We just have to try and make a lid for the vessel.
