The currency in Cuba is the Cuban peso. 1 Cuban peso equals 100 centavo. Export and import of foreign currency by you is unlimited here, but national currency is prohibited. Also, credit cards issued by a US bank are not accepted for payment.

In Cuba, the free circulation of any currency. Here in foreign exchange stores accept converted pesos, called CUC (Convertible Peso). These banknotes outside the island have no value.
