How to measure CPU temperature

Everything is quite simple here. Today there are many programs that allow you to comprehensively analyze your computer. These programs diagnose the operation of devices, and for such parts of the PC as the processor and video card, show the current temperature, and do it in real time. This means that if you leave such a program enabled, it will monitor the temperature readings of the devices. One of the best programs in this regard is CPUID HWMonitor - it allows you to collect various information about a computer with a high degree of accuracy. The AIDA program is also good (previously - Everest).

These programs are convenient because when there are sufficiently tangible signs that the processor or video card operates with a temperature violation, they allow you to record the exact temperature values. Here are the signs of high CPU temperature:

  1. The computer turns off completely.
  2. The computer often restarts.
  3. Significantly slows down the computer.

In order to calculate the normal and elevated temperature of your processor, turn on the computer and start the monitoring program. Let the computer warm up, and at this time you can surf the Internet, check email and do other things that are not burdensome for your processor. Now open the program window and look at the temperature of your processor. Memorize these values ​​and launch some powerful application and / or game with high system requirements. After about half an hour, look in the program data window and note the temperature. It is also strongly recommended to look at the technical characteristics of your processor - at what temperatures it should work, what should be the temperature of the processor at peak loads. Pay attention to the percentage of download coolers on your PC. If it is equal to or close to 100%, then the device cooled by the cooler is working to its maximum. How to cool the processor

To date, there are a sufficient number of cooling options for the processor, video card and other PC systems. However, you need to start with simple things. For technical requirements, you need at least 5 cm of free space on each side of the PC system unit, and preferably more.
