Moscow region

The Moscow region is the second informal name of the Moscow region. True, sometimes all other territories are called so jokingly, except Moscow. Where is the real suburbs?

Location Moscow region

The Moscow region, or Moscow region, is located in the center of the East European Plain. The main water arteries of the Moscow Region are 4 main rivers: the Volga, Oka, Klyazma and Moscow (in total, there are more than 300 rivers and about 350 lakes in this area). From the point of view of relief, the terrain is predominantly flat, but sometimes hills and lowlands are encountered. The climate is temperate continental and quite favorable for living and growing crops.

The Moscow region borders on many regions, among which are Tver, Vladimir, Tula, Ryazan, Kaluga, Smolensk and Yaroslavl. Administratively, the Moscow region belongs to the Central Federal District with its center in Moscow. The main authorities of the Moscow region are located in Krasnogorsk, but some are formed in Moscow.

In the suburbs live more than 7 million people.
